Daryl D. Smith   
Chairman, President, & Chief Executive Officer

Daryl D. Smith joined Troy Corporation in 1980 as Executive Vice President. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College. Mr. Smith holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Smith held the positions of Project Engineer at E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., Corporate Finance at First Pennsylvania Bank, Consultant at McKinsey & Company, Manager of Planning at International Paper Company, and Director of Finance at The East Asiatic Company.

 
W. Brian Smith   
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

W. Brian Smith joined Troy in 1995. Most recently, Brian served the company as Vice President of US Sales, Supply Chain, and EU Operations. Prior to being named Vice President, Brian held the positions of Director of Arizona Operations and Logistics as well as President of subsidiaries FTI and Troy Biosciences. Brian earned his MBA from Richmond University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Monmouth College.

Prior to Troy, Brian held the position of Regional Sales Manager at Cagiva North America Corp.

 
Ismael Colon, Ph.D.   
Senior Vice President, Science & Technology

Ismael Colon, Ph.D., joined Troy Corporation in 1994 as Vice President of Science and Technology. Dr. Colon also held the position of Managing Director of Europe, and has been the General Manager of Additives since 2004. He studied organic chemistry at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he earned his Doctorate in 1976. In 1972, Dr. Colon obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Fairfield University.

Prior to joining Troy, Dr. Colon was a Quality Director and Business Director for Latin America, and Director of Research and Development at Union Carbide UCAR Emulsion Systems. He is an author of several technical papers on the chemistry of performance materials and holds more than a dozen U.S. patents.

 
Donald A. Shaw, Ph.D.   
Senior Vice President, AMEAI & Regulatory Affairs

Donald A. Shaw, Ph.D., joined Troy in 2001, and has held the positions of Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific, Vice President of Development, and Director of Product Registration at Troy Corporation. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1983 from Temple University, where he also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry in 1979.

Previously, Dr. Shaw was the Director of Development and Registration, Director of Registration, Manager of Global Business Management, and Manager of Development and Registration at FMC Corporation’s Agricultural Chemicals Group.

 
Christopher E. Smith   
Vice President, Manufacturing & Engineering

Christopher Smith joined Troy in 2003. He has served the company as General Manager of Newark Operations and Assistant Controller. Mr. Smith received his Masters of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2003. He obtained his Master of Arts in History from Brown University in 1997, and in 1996, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Boston College.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Smith was a Consultant for Harbor Research, Inc.

 
David E. Faherty   
Vice President & General Manager, Americas

David E. Faherty joined Troy as Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2000. In 1979, Mr. Faherty was granted his Master of Science in Biology from Case Western Reserve University. In 1976, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Faherty was Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Mayzo, Inc. He has held sales and marketing positions with Associated Octel, Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, Celanese Engineering Resins, and Dow Chemical Company.

 
Alexander M. Gerardo   
Vice President, Administration

Alexander M. Gerardo joined Troy in 1987 as Director of Human Resources. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore in 1968, and his Bachelor of Arts from Seton Hall University in 1964.

Previously, Mr. Gerardo held the positions of Corporate Vice President of Personnel for Givaudan Corporation, a subsidiary of Hoffman-LaRoche, Director of Personnel for Lesney Products Corporation, and Corporate Manager of Labor and Employee Relations for Schenley Industries, Inc.

 
Ulf Becker   
Managing Director, Europe

Ulf Becker joined Troy as Managing Director of Europe in 2010. He earned his degree in 1978 from the Bank Academy in Hamburg, Germany.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Becker held the positions of Owner and Certified Business Coach of ActionCOACH, CEO of Reactive Surfaces Ltd., President/CEO of Alberdingk Boley Inc., Managing Partner of the Remy Group of Companies, Executive Director of the Behn Meyer Group of Companies, Departmental Manager of Helm AG, and Officer, Marketing Department for Dresdner Bank AG.

 
Robert Chance   
Vice President, Human Resources

Robert Chance joined Troy as Vice President of Human Resources in 2011. Mr. Chance earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Texas Tech University in 1982.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Chance held the positions of VP of Human Resources for Lanxess, VP of Human Resources for American Bridge, and Corporate Human Resources Manager at Shell Chemical.

 
Jan Scott Beck   
Vice President & General Counsel

Jan Scott Beck joined Troy as Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions in 2014 and was appointed Vice President & General Counsel in 2015. He earned his Masters of Law degree in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. He also obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law. His Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting is from Rider University. He is a member of the New York, New Jersey, and D.C. Bar Associations.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Beck was the Executive Vice President and CFO of Communications International, Inc., President and COO of StarCapital Corp., CEO and Founder of The Turbary Group, Vice President and General Counsel of Tyco International, Inc., Director of Taxation at Terra Industries, Inc., and Tax Consultant at Deloitte & Touche.

 
Robert J. Vander Meulen   
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Robert J. Vander Meulen joined Troy in 2015. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Montclair State College in 1985.

Prior to Troy, Mr. Vander Meulen held the positions of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Brookwood Companies Inc., Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President and Corporate Controller at Precision Partners, Inc., and Corporate Controller and Assistant Treasurer at US Industries, Inc.
