Troy Acquires North American Wood Protection Business from Ruetgers

Friday, September 1, 2017 - Florham Park, NJ Troy Corporation announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the North American wood protection business of RONA (Ruetgers Organics North America), including Impralit and Hydropearl technologies. Other Ruetgers units, geographies, and product lines were not included in the sale. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Impralit PBT, the latest fungicide technology for pressure treating, is now available exclusively from Troy in North America. Commonly known as polymeric betaine, this advanced proprietary technology enhances penetration into pressure treated wood for optimum protection. Troy is now also the North American supplier of Impralit TWN solubilized copper preservative, a highly stable, proven technology for the protection of pressure treated wood. Additionally, Hydropearl 100 & 140 water repellants are now supplied by Troy, offering compatibility with PBT and many quaternary amines, as well as low cost-in-use. These new technologies in Troys wood protection portfolio have been developed specifically for high-quality, long-term protection, and offer pressure treaters excellent performance and value.
