- Florham Park, NJ – Troy Corporation announced today that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the industrial biocides business from Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH). Ashland Specialty Ingredients’ industrial biocides business was formerly owned and operated by ISP, Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The following brands are included in the acquisition and are now available exclusively from Troy: Fungitrol®, Nuosept®, Bacillat™, Bakzid™, Bodoxin™, Cinon™, Cleanguard™, Ebotec™, and Plastiguard™. These product lines serve the paint & coatings, metalworking fluids, energy, and plastics market segments. Ashland’s Consumer Specialties business unit, which includes preservatives for the personal care market segment, is not part of the agreement with Troy.
