Thursday, November 01, 2001 - Troy Corporation introduces MERGAL® K10N, a highly technologically advanced Benzisothiazolin-one (BIT) preservative which offers protection against bacteria, yeasts, fungi, and algae. Unlike other BIT preservatives, MERGAL® K10N is free of VOC’s and surfactants, is completely water-soluble, is known not to cheese out polymers and not to affect color development and the wetting properties of the textile coatings, and is suitable for products ranging in pH from 3 to 13.
MERGAL® K10N has EPA approval and meets the requirements of FDA CFR Sections 175.105, 176.170, 176.180, 176.300, and 177.2600. MERGAL® K10N is priced at a cost that is competitive with traditional BIT preservatives. Samples and assistance in lab evaluation are available.
