Polyphase HS32 Unique Broad-Spectrum Fungicide for Wood Preservative Sector

Friday, April 02, 2004 - Troy Corporation announced the introduction of a new EPA approved wood preservative designed for incorporation into water-based wood protective stains and coatings. Polyphase HS32 is a broad-spectrum fungicide developed to combine long-term protection against a wide scope of wood rotting and wood staining organisms, as well as surface molds, with environmentally sound attributes and ease of use. Polyphase HS32 can be used to enhance the effectiveness of wood preservatives and anti-blue stain products for primers and wood stains. According to Eric Bensaid, Senior Vice President, “Polyphase HS32 is a new concept in the treatment of woods, supported by the company’s nearly thirty years of wood protection experience.” He cited major advantages over traditional chemistries, including its ease of use and greater safety to handlers, "making the product ideal for most wood preservative operations.” The primary functionality of Polyphase HS32 is its efficacy against wood decay organisms such as Coniophora puteana, Poria placenta, Gloeophyllum trabeum, and Coriolus versicolor. The product’s spectrum of activity provides optimum performance, and its consistency allows deep penetration into wood surfaces. In combination with insecticides and termiticides, Polyphase HS32 provides the basis for a complete wood protection biocide package.
